Alterrell is eager to build a tech-forward solution to a major societal problem.

Alterrell currently advises companies and startups in areas of leadership, social impact, and managing high-performing inclusive teams. He is a published business writer--two of his case studies about Black entrepreneurship are taught to students at Harvard Business School. He is passionate about social entrepreneurship, using technology to solve community and structural problems, and creating affirming spaces within Black and Queer communities.

Alterrell's professional experience spans across the financial, clean energy, non-profit, and technology sectors. He started his career at American Express in corporate strategy & partnerships, working on international projects in London and the Caribbean. Attracted to mission-driven companies and solving major societal problems, he has led teams at Tesla and early-stage startups. People-driven leadership is his passion, which he brings to each team and in leadership roles within company affinity groups.

Alterrell holds a BA in Psychology from Harvard College and MBA in General Management from Harvard Business School. He has held leadership roles on campus including Co-Chair of 2010 Senior Gift Committee, Co-President of undergraduate minority business club, and Co-President of the African American Student Union (AASU) at HBS. He volunteers as alumni interviewer and speaker for prospective students.
