Jourdan Brunson is the co-founder of kinkofa, a collaborative family history platform where Black folx connect to the tools, resources, and support needed to uncover their unique origin stories.  

Unsurprisingly, he began avidly researching his own family’s narrative as a high school student, after hearing oral histories.Jourdan spent the last 15 years uncovering his family history and helping others do the same.  He has presented at national genealogy conferences and led courses on genetic genealogy and a series called "Genealogy Challenge!" which covers a variety of topics in family history research. Jourdan completed training from the Midwest African American Genealogy Institute, Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy and Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh. An experienced product and growth marketer, Jourdan has a knack for finding the arc in a good story. Prior to building kinkofa, he designed go-to-market strategies and growth frameworks with companies like Lyft and Beacon.

Jourdan Brunson is a native of Chicago, IL, residing in New Orleans, Louisiana.
