Sophia Augustine

Sophia is currently a senior at Pomona College interested in mission-driven technology and investing, primarily within the healthcare, education and energy sectors. She has diverse experiences working at four different startups -- ranging from pre-seed to Series B across a variety of industries -- and a passion for making genuine connections with amazing people.

She caught the entrepreneurial bug last year, co-founding an on-campus business, the 5C Kombucha Company, with the mission of bringing affordable and accessible fermented tea to her college campus and the Pomona Blockchain Club, a small community committed to fostering excitement and professional development around web3 and blockchain technology. Sophia even attempted to launch and scale her own edtech startup (StoryBiz) but this ultimately failed. She consequently started her own newsletter, The Serial Startup Student, dedicated to making the worlds of venture capital and technology startups more accessible to undergraduate students.

She currently co-leads marketing and strategy efforts at Camus Energy, a software startup leveraging AI and distributed computing to decarbonize America's power grid and will be joining Accenture as a technology consultant full-time upon her graduation from Pomona.
