Funding your business is not easy, but it doesn’t have to feel impossible. At the end of the program, you will receive a non-dilutive grant of $10,000 for your business, with the potential for future dilutive investments.

Who is VHBOS for?

  • Founders of a post-idea and pre-revenue early-stage company. This means you are developing a solution to a problem that people need addressed now but haven't made sales yet
  • Teams with at least one co-founder currently living in one Greater Boston
  • Founders/teams that can commit 2 hours a week to the Fellowship
  • Founders with a gender and/or racial identity underrepresented in tech. This includes - but isn't limited to - women, non-binary and trans folks, Black, Latinx, Asian and Pacific Islander, and Indigenous American people
  • Startups that have raised less than $500k in dilutive funding

The application should take you less than an hour to complete. We ask for some basic information about you and your startup, as well as some short answer questions.

When will the Fellowship take place?
The VHBOS Fellowship will run from July 2024 to September 2024.
Can I apply to the Fellowship with a co-founder? 
Yes! If you would like to go through the program with your co-founder(s), please submit one application and include information about them where prompted.
What do you look for in founders?
Skills and Insights: You have a strong skillset or deep insights that give you a competitive advantage in building and distributing a solution.

Hustle and Execution: You can work creatively around constraints, deliver with speed, and consistently achieve what you set out to do.

Community Orientation: You are eager to collaborate and learn from others in the cohort and the broader Visible Hands community.
Can I participate in multiple accelerator programs at the same time?
If accepted, you cannot participate in any other Visible Hands fellowships or accelerator programs throughout the duration of the VHBOS Founder Fellowship. However, if you are a part of other non-Visible Hands related programs, you are still eligible for this fellowship.
