Clare Herceg is the CEO and Founder of Let’s Get Set, a mission-driven fintech making wealth building possible for the 90M households making less than $40k. Her passion for economic mobility and racial justice has fueled her decade of work across sectors evaluating, funding, and scaling mission-driven initiatives in low-income communities. As Director of Strategic Initiatives at First Place for Youth, a California-based nonprofit providing education, employment, and housing to youth aging out of foster care, she led a team to enable national expansion into Mississippi, Massachusetts, and New York through a franchise model. Prior to that she worked for a foundation investing in national youth-serving nonprofits.

She’s seen firsthand how the financial needs of hardworking parents go unmet and believes that for-profit models and technology can be tools to accelerate economic opportunity. A desire to explore this and launch a venture led her to pursue an MBA at MIT, where she co-directed the Hack for Inclusion, a hackathon tackling bias through technology-driven solutions, and served as a Product Manager at Toast.

Clare serves on the board of the Petey Greene Program, a national nonprofit providing individualized tutoring to incarcerated people. She has a B.A. from Princeton University in International Affairs and Public Policy.
